National Anthem

The first of many videos showing how I meant it to be sung, I'll continue to sing our anthem - sometimes with little stumbles along the way, sometimes without. Human, and with heart is all I can promise.

Ard, well done on the version you posted on you tube, it's awesome. it took courage to stand up and apologise. many would'nt even bother. Now, you should get a record [not sure if they're still called that] company to back you with it and cut a CD for a charity. Do a fundraiser in conjunction with the Boks and you'll be respected forever.

I would like to suggest a follow up on your FNB add to unite the Country in the Anthem song.
They say any exposure is good exposure, use it!
Make a follow up add where Ard will be singing the Anthem at the Rugby worldcup and then forgetting his words in the same way. The little girl then steps in follow the words to help him as she now knows the words%u2026
Could be used in good effect as if to allow her to test her memory, and you look good. in helping her achieve it.
Agency that created the ad was http:/www.metropolitanrepublic.co.za/
    Cheers Hennie from the bluff

Ard, in short, You are the man that many should aspire to be! To openly admit a mistake and apologize profusely. Many others would have screwed it up even worse, and get away with it, without apologizing to such an extent.
Thank you for the post, and may you rock it on like there is no tomorrow!

I have seldom seen a more sincere or heartfelt rendition of any song. And for the first time in my life I actually think our new anthem can sound beautiful. Well done Ard. We know how this storm in a teacup has affected you but you have handled it brilliantly. Much better than any of the idiots making such a big deal would ever have been able to do, trust me. Well done to you, and I will be first in line to buy your solo album when it's ready. Take care Squire.

Hey Ard, I told you it would only be a matter of time "til somebody else cocked up and took the heat off you and gave the haters something new to rip apart. I think you should send Darren Scott a Thank You note, or maybe a case of beer ;o)
