In between writing songs, rehearsing and checking on album sales I drive my girlfriend, Landi Swanepoel to castings all over LA. She us such a princess cos she doesn't drive here yet (no license yet) but I'm more than happy to help cos our combined efforts help us get by in this very expensive town!!

This is a clip of me doing a vocal session on a song called 'Milk and Honies' which will be released by Curb Records this year. This example shows you my voice by itself blended in and out with the full band version of the song. As you can hear it sounds slightly different to the version I posted a while back. This is because you are hearing Brent playing drums over the original drums I programmed on the demo. You can also hear a few keyboard pieces that Sandy added a few days ago. Remember this is NOT a final version. We will have to wait n see which vocal comp gets used as this is merely an example of one take!! Hope that gives you some cool insight to our recording process.

January 19, 2009 | Filed Under Check this out!, Day in the life..., South Africa | No Comments We were surfing today so I decided to do a little tribute to a guy I have had the pleasure of hanging out with on occasion. Aside from being the first South African ever to win the Dakar rally (hello!!), he is also a pretty decent kitesurfer and can put away a bottle or 2 of the good stuff...without too much prompting. The last time I was in a vehicle with him we were doing doughnuts all the way home from bar in Langebaan, Cape Town, South Africa. Good time!

As you may tell...we are very proud boytchie!! Peace!
